Florida Young Democrats

Today, our country came together for the 56th time in its history to celebrate our democracy and freedom with the inauguration of our 44th President, Barack H. Obama. This was a joyous day for every citizen of the United States of America and an historic day for every citizen of the world.  No mater what race, religion, creed or party one hails from, today’s celebrations brought every American together to celebrate the values, not that divide us, but which make us one.  I can think of nothing greater or more sacred than this important event in our American lexicon.

This event is made even sweeter by the character and vision of the man who has now taken the reins of the U.S. executive branch in his hands.  President Obama has called upon us all to make the hard sacrifices, while reminding us that if we are brave, faithful to the ideals of our founders and true to the spirit of our constitution, we can rebuild this country and restore it to its position as world social, economic and moral leader.  It is a challenge that every American, and especially the youth of our country, must answer.

The Florida Young Democrats and Young Democrats of America would like to invite you to join with us in welcoming President Obama to the job and showing him that young people are ready to join with him in his mission to revive and renew the American Dream, both at home and abroad.
